The land sale of Upper Hudson Woodlands ATP LP is moving forward with a late January 2024 closing scheduled. After closing, the new landowner will be the Japaneese based Sumitomo Forestry Group partnered with the domestic Fund Manager, Eastwood Forests LLC. (click on pictures for more information)

Eastwood Forests LLC has tentatively hired LandVest as the property manager, similar to what F&W does now. There is the possibility that some F&W Forestry Services Inc. current employees will be hired by LandVest, but it is too early to tell yet.

Indications are that it will be a seamless transfer of ownership and there will be little to no change of how the property is managed or the lease program. Please inform all members of your club of this upcoming change.

This all we know right now, and I will keep you informed as more information is learned.

As of February 1, 2024 our leased land of Deer Valley Club has been sold to Northway Forests LLC. Land Vest of Lowville, NY will be our forestry service provider.

I have been advised that the new owners will host an in person meeting in the late winter/early spring. I will update the membership following that meeting. - Fred
